Classes will resume April 2010. You may start anytime that is convenient for you. Bring a friend and have a fun time painting with Jon and other artist. Classes are open to beginners as well as more accomplished artist. Jon is a very patient teacher and makes you feel relaxed as you paint.

“My goal in painting is to communicate the beauty of God’s creation through the elements and principals of a fine oil painting. Painting in the traditions of the Old Masters is a never ending quest for me and I thoroughly enjoy the thrills and the interesting people I meet along the way. My art students and I constantly challenge each other to paint new and exciting subjects.”
Paint with Jon at the rivers edge along the Greenway in Franklin, North Carolina. The pavillion and the restrooms are available if needed.
Friday Jon will demonstrate his painting techniques, how to mix colors, and how to block in your painting. Each artist will get individual instructions both days on how to bring your painting to a completion by Saturday afternoon.
The Franklin Greenway Pavillion is Located 30 minutes from beautiful Highlands, NC with waterfalls on the way.

The Paul and Florence Thomas Memorial Art School is on 10.3 acres just off Trading Post Road, in Glendale Springs, North Carolina. The site has a motel, a restaurant, and other buildings; all are being renovated for classroom, administration, and dormitory use. The campus itself, spread open to the south and the sun, is in a beautiful setting—a large pond, meadows, many trees, gentle hills, a wonderful view into the distance.
